Unique Multiplayer Experience

Ominous offers a unique multiplayer experience. Unlike other co-op horror games, you share the same world but you are not in the same dimension. Since everyone is in a different dimension, they won't know what each other is doing.
You can either stay in different dimension and try to defeat the creature,
or you can find a way to gather everyone in the same dimension.

The Creature is completely aware of your presence and will actively try to stop you from closing the interdimensional portal. The main difference is that, while you and your teammates cannot see each other in different dimensions, the Creature can see all of you.

There are dimensional rifts scattered throughout the map, a result of the damage caused by the creature's portal. When you enter these rifts, you may find yourself in entirely different environments. To escape these environments, you have two options: solve the puzzle inside or die. These rifts can even transport you to a poker table. Winning a game at the table will grant you a prize upon your return, but losing might lead to less desirable outcomes.

When you start each game, the map is procedurally generated so that you never get the feeling that you are playing on the same map. The end time of the game will be different for each game. The only way to find out when the Creature's portal will explode is when the portal makes a sound that can be heard all over the map 5 minutes before it explodes. However, this sound can appear as early as 15 minutes or as late as 30 minutes into the game, so you should always act quickly.
