Welcome, stranger

Pull up a chair.

Four friends sit down at The Crooked Table, and each of you is dealt a secret role. Two of you are on the same team, but neither of you knows who the other one is.

Every turn, you play a card face down and tell the table what it does. Sometimes that’s even true. Anyone who thinks you’re lying can put their chips on it.

Read the table, choose who to believe, and try to look like you have nothing to hide.

Who’s on your side?

Everyone at the table gets one of three roles. Yours is a secret. So is everyone else’s.

  • Team Player Two at the tableKeep the group score up. You have a teammate, but nobody tells you who.
  • The Neutral One at the tableOn nobody’s side. Plays for the best score at the table.
  • The Saboteur One at the tableWants the group score to sink, without anyone working out who’s sinking it.

    Think someone’s lying? Put your chips on it. Catch them and their card doesn’t count. Get it wrong and it costs you.

    Every card moves the scores. Somebody at this table wants the number in the middle to sink.
